I find myself slowly sinking into an affair with New England which will prove completely impossible to escape from. One of the happiest of discoveries has been the celebrations around the blooming daffodils and blooms in springtime. From Nantucket to Rhode Island, the blooming of flowers is treated as one New England’s is marked by dozens of festivals around the northeast. I’ve rounded up a few of the festivities so you can already start making your 2019 bloom plans:
Nantucket Daffodil Festival – Nantucket, MA
One of the most coveted flower experiences to be had, the Nantucket Flower Festival in endlessly charming Nantucket is a must-do dream for every New Englander. From the famous Bran Point lighthouse to the joyous parade, daffy lovers will find the coastal destination covered in more than three million yellow swoon-worthy daffodils.
Daffodil Days – Newport, RI

You don’t need to travel to D.C. to catch this gorgeous gift from Japan in bloom. New Haven boasts one of the most stunning displays in the country…not to mention the lovely celebration around it.
Lilac Sunday – Boston, MA
Over 350 Lilac plants in one of America’s most quintessentially colonial cities. This annual Sunday tradition dates back to 1908 and is a must for any Bostonian or New Englander alike.
